“When the tides shine”

The ocean’s silver whispers creep,
Across the shore, where dreams sleep.
Moonlight paints the waves with grace,
A dancing waltz in the moonlit space.
Each crest a glimmering delight,
As darkness yields to the starry night.
The salty air, a soft embrace,
Reflecting stars on the ocean’s face.
Footprints fade in the shifting sand,
Lost to the tide, a fleeting strand.
The rhythm of the sea, a calming song,
Where the tides shine, all night long!

feuille morte (dead leaf)”

Inspired by the beauty of autumn, with its withered foliage crowing the ground, this side table captures the essence of nature’s intricate patterns through complex, flowing curves that mimic the organic forms of fallen leaves, showcasing an interplay of softness and movement. By leveraging 3D printing, the table maximizes material efficiency, reducing waste while enabling the creation of intricate, lightweight structures that would be impossible to achieve through traditional manufacturing methods.

Oscuro

A wall shelf that embodies the subtle beauty of wave-like forms and an indistinct flow. Its sleek, black silhouette captures the essence of fluid motion, with gentle curves that seem to ebb and sway, reminiscent of the ocean’s serene yet powerful rhythm. The design evokes an organic sense of movement, where the boundaries blur and the shelf appears to seamlessly melt into the wall. The name Oscuro, meaning “dark” or “shadow” in Italian, reflects the deep, mysterious quality of the piece, while its flowing contours invite a sense of calm, fluidity, and grace into any space. Perfect for those who appreciate minimalist elegance with a touch of nature’s unspoken power.

G-shells

‘Geometry-shells’ are an ode to my childhood hobby, finding pristine seashells of different forms, textures and colors, while indulging in the ocean breeze and sunshine. The intent is to promote clay as an alternative to plastics in 3d printing. The partition screen aspires to bring together the memories of coastal communities and bring to light the impact we have on the shoreline.

Melting Pots

Rethinking ‘melting pot’ from being a singular entity through pluralization of it’s very definition. In the context of City of Edmonton, this piece of art sheds new light on the proposal of urban transformation, to foster the concept of 15 minute city. Adding new lens of thought provocative culinary style of Puri Jagannath temple, where multiple pots of various dishes are cooked simultaneously, by stacking them on top of each other in various configurations. Promoting the concept as an opportunity for new design thinking and growth

Sastrugi

Inspired by the natural patterns carved in the snow cover by prevailing winds, this floor lamp is an ode to the beauty of Alberta. It is an exploration of patterns and translucency that can be achieved through computational design. The design embraces the idea of circular economy by refurbishing a discarded Ikea floor lamp into a contemporary piece.
